A native of Cheshire, Richard pursued his studies at Sheffield University, where he graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Planning. Following his education, Richard returned to his roots, bringing his expertise back to Cheshire. He established Green Velvet Landscapes with a vision to blend creative design with sustainable practices. His portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, from intimate garden designs to large-scale commercial properties and expansive estates. Each project reflects his commitment to beauty, functionality, and environmental stewardship.
Beyond his design work, Richard is deeply passionate about horticulture, maintaining a thriving home nursery where he grows and sells a variety of plants. This personal interest in plant cultivation has become an integral part of the Green Velvet brand, offering clients high-quality, home-grown selections for their gardens. Richard’s wife, Sophia, has joined the family business, contributing her expertise in plant sales and marketing. Together, they make a formidable team, balancing creativity and business acumen.
